Hi There,
My Name is Aubrey!
Aubrey Trujillo, LPC-A
My name is Aubrey, and I am so happy that you are here!
If you are on this page, then you are already thinking of asking for help.
You may be feeling stressed, unsupported, unhappy, or maybe, you aren’t sure what you are needing. As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and experience counseling diverse populations, I can provide you with that assistance.
My experience includes counseling adults in college settings in relation to a variety of concerns including self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life transitions, peer/relationship issues, stress, LGBTQI+ issues, career development, and more.
When I’m not in the office…
I am a Career Counselor at Texas State University (Go Bobcats!) where I help our students reach their full potential and assist them with the huge transition of student to new professional.
Outside of work, I am usually out on one of my wellness walks/runs where I like to listen to podcasts (and obsess over Taylor Swift lyrics). I also LOVE thrifting for clothes to the point where it is maybe becoming an issue, however, I will for now pretend that it is not.
What to Expect
In A Session
We will work together to understand what your goals of therapy are and how we can work together to reach those goals. I say “we” because I like to see myself as a part of your support system. I will be there to assist you in reaching those goals, and if you happen to stumble, I will be there to help pick you back up. And because we are team members in this, you will see me be my genuine self in our meetings. So that means you will get to see my very real empathy, friendliness (and my humor at times). But that also means that I expect you to be your genuine self with me. I want you to feel comfortable enough to open up to me and know that I am not there to judge you. Instead, with your collaboration,
I want to help you realize
and reach your goals.
