Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your office located?

The office is located on the square of downtown San Mo (that’s San Marcos for the non-locals). Here is the address: 109 East Hopkins StreetSuite 201 San Marcos, TX 78666

We’re right next door to the Blue Dahlia Bistro, where, by the way, we recommend the hibiscus tea and the Blue Dahlia Brie.

Just come straight up the stairs and turn right. We are the second suite on your right. You can come on in and have a seat in the waiting area inside.

What are your hours?

Each therapist has different hours, but we are in the office Monday through Friday.

Some of us are early risers and start sessions at 8 AM, and some of us are more night owlish and offer 6 PM sessions.

How long are sessions?

Each session lasts 50 minutes.

This gives us time to schedule your next session, answer any logistical questions, and fill up our coffee.

How much do you charge?

Session fees range from $105 – $135 per session.

Do you accept health insurance?

We do! We currently accept United Health Care and Aetna.

What is your cancellation policy

We ask for a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your session. If you cancel within 24 hours of the session, we charge the full session fee.

But we also know that life happens, and you can’t control everything, so we extend grace where and when we can.

What do you actually do in sessions?

This is always a fun question!

If you come to the office, you’ll make yourself comfortable on the couch, and then we’ll get started.

We will ask you some general questions about how you’re doing, how your week was, etc., and then we will touch base regarding anything that we left off from the previous session. As we continue our conversation, we will ask you questions and provide you with observations or feedback.

Therapy is mostly about creating space for you to be honest and heard, so we make sure we create that space for you.

Do you go to therapy?

Heck, yeah! Therapists need therapy, too!
We practice what we preach, and we need our own space to process, feel, and receive feedback.

Do you drink your coffee black?

Unfortunately, I (Candace) am not that cool and add a coffee creamer filled with preservatives and chemicals into my K-Cup every morning. 🙂
