Weekly DBT Skills Group

You don’t know how to feel your feelings without them taking control.

Setting boundaries feels really scary.

You’re not quite sure how to cope with the ins and outs of life without making it harder for yourself.

You live in constant judgment of yourself and seem to always be fixating on the future.

You are working hard in therapy and have identified some patterns or stories that are holding you back.

You’re ready to figure out what you need to DO now.

I get it.

May I suggest something? Sometimes we just need to learn new ways of operating. The operating manual we learned and perfected along the way just doesn’t suffice anymore and it’s time to make some changes.

This is where Dialectical Behavior Therapy comes in. It’s a super-practical form of therapy that teaches skills in four different areas, so that you can learn how to operate in a way that feels more aligned with your truest self.

The Four Modules of DBT

Mindfulness: Learning to be more present in your daily life, less fixated on the future and dwelling on the past (hello, anxiety and depression) and less judgmental.

Interpersonal Effectiveness: Relationship 101, my friend. How can you have healthy relationships and maintain your self-respect in the process?

Emotion Regulation: The ‘big Mama’ of DBT, how the heck do you feel your feelings without letting them take over and control every damn thing?

Distress Tolerance: life is hard, and we find ways (both helpful and unhelpful) to cope with the hard. This is all about finding new ways of coping that won’t make things worse for you or others.

Are you ready to make some changes and find ways to operate that better align with the person you know you are and want to become?

Our Weekly DBT Skills Group is a space for you to learn these things. It’s practical, supportive, efficient and proven. The group will begin November 28th and there are limited spots.
